Once upon a time there was a very old mill... Today it is a charming Tuscan Country Inn in Cortona in Tuscany with just eight rooms overlooking the creek "Esse" with a typical Tuscan restaurant to let you taste the real traditional cuisine of our mothers.

Welcome to our Inn
Silvia and Riccardo Baracchi owners too of Relais & Chateaux Il Falconiere in Cortona , have brought the old family mill to an exclusive Tuscan Country Inn. The Locanda del Molino , with its eight romantic rooms, is located in Montanare, just few kilometers away from the Etruscan town of Cortona. Cortona in Tuscany is a gem of a walled town terraced up a steep hillside covered with olive trees and vineyards. Bordering Tuscany and Umbria, our Country Inn is the perfect spot from which easily explore those regions, both very interesting for culture and landscapes.
Eight guestrooms overlooking the creek, where every guest will experience the relax of sleeping, lulled by the sound of the waterfalls. Each room has been individually decorated and fully furnished by Silvia: it will feature either four poster beds or upholstered frames, hand-woven local fabrics, antique or country furniture, yet each room shows its authenticity of the almost lost flavors so characteristic of the Cortona countryside. Ideal both for family holidays and romantic gateways.
Our Locanda offers mainly traditional Cortona's and tuscan's cuisine and a shot from the past with almost forgotten dishes in the "Daily menu". Guests can share with us the pleasure of rediscovering our local cuisine matched with great wines".
